So what does it take to be considered a cultural art-ifact? Is the image of Uncle Sam and Aunt Jemima so strong that we can't afford to divorce ourself of the the nostalgic twinge that escapes ephemera. Can anyone define the difference in a postcard and an ad that mark the passing of consumer fancy?

HOW launched this annual event in 1991 with the goal of providing a hands-on, educational program to enable designers to better balance the three key components of graphic design: creativity, business and technology.
